Sample Proposal for your company ,

Further to our discussion and based on our services, our proposal has four pillars.

1.

TrainSmart® Consulting in the area of site remodelling to assist training; This service is a process that includes suggestions and planning in how a certain area(s) of the organisation can support the project given that training is delivered on site. It includes support in terms of what equipment is required, the layout and architecture. This investment is limited and is based on your budget.

2.

TrainSmart® educational Workshops & Training: on the benefits and rationale of on/off-site, Online training and fitness programs (coaching, training, nutrition etc). Training is conducted in 3 phases, one in the beginning to gain support and achieve the engagement required from the participants. It continues in the second phase to re-cap, get results and feedback, in order to go on the third phase to give solutions and motivate all those who left behind

TrainSmart® education - Course outline

  • Health education, which focuses on skill development and lifestyle behaviour change along with information dissemination and awareness building, preferably tailored to employees’ interests and needs.

  • Supportive social and physical environments. These include an organisation’s expectations regarding healthy behaviors, and implementation of policies that promote health and reduce risk of disease.

  • Integration of the worksite program into your organisation’s structure.

  • Linkage to related programs like Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and programs to help employees balance work and family.

  • Worksite screening programs, ideally linked to medical care to ensure follow-up and appropriate treatment as necessary.

  • In addition, Partnership for Prevention includes two additional components: Support for individual behavior change with follow-up interventions and evaluation and improvement processes to help enhance the program’s effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Low participation rates by employees significantly limit the potential benefits. Little is known or reported about the determinants of participation, but some clues are emerging. Ongoing management support and accountability are critical to successful worksite health promotion programs. Men and women participate in different types of activities

This Specialised unique program describes what an employer, may need to do to protect his employees from the risk of injury through manual handling tasks in the workplace. It will also be useful to employees. The Handling Operations apply to a wide range of manual handling activities, including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying. The load may be a person or an animal, bundles or boxes.

Incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work. It causes work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) which account for over a third of all workplace injuries.

Manual handling injuries can happen anywhere people are at work – on farms and building sites, in factories, offices, warehouses, hospitals, banks, laboratories, and while making deliveries. Heavy manual labor, awkward postures, manual materials handling, and previous or existing injury are all risk factors in developing MSDs. Participating in the program will help prevent these injuries and is likely to be cost effective.

Participants will learn how to:

• Not carry/hold loads away from their body

• Avoid twisting, stooping or reaching upwards

• to do properly large vertical movements

• handle loads on long carrying distances

• avoid strenuous pushing or pulling

• endure repetitive handling

• apply sufficient rest and recovery time

• manage work rate imposed by a process

• carry out safe manual handling,

including good handling technique

• correct posture
